The Rooster has all the standard features plus either an ebony or ironwood fingerboard with handmade inlays. The rooster inlay is made of mother of pearl, abalone, pink ivory (rhamnus zeyheri) a rare red wood, and French ivory. The Rooster is a versatile instrument, suitable for a string band, as an accompaniment for a singer, or solo. It has a full sound with good sustain.
